Recipe Of Besan Halwa:
Preparation time 40-45 minutes
Serves 4-5 people
Clarified butter (ghee) or oil 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Gram flour (besan) 1 cup
Whole milk 1 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Instruction For Cooking:
1. Heat clarified butter or oil in a heavy based pot.
2. Add milk and heat it. When the clarified butter or oil melts, add the gram flour and continue cooking on medium heat, (continuously stirring) until the gram flour turns light brown.
3. Add water and stir for a few minutes.
4. Add the sugar, and stir for 5-7 minutes and take off heat.
Variation In Besan Halwa:
Besan Halwa can be made in many ways and is something that one and all will relish whether they are hungry. You can add other ingredients of your own choice like other dry fruits or garnish it with silver paper. Choice is all yours. You can also add grated coconut in this to make it more delicious.
