Recipe Of Chicken Rice Soup:
Preparation time 1 hour 30 minutes
Serves 4-5 people
Ingredients:
Chicken 1/2 kg
Chopped onion 1/2 cup
Salt 2-1/2 tsp
Dried thyme leaves (crushed) 1/2 tsp
Pepper 1/4 tsp
Thinly sliced celery 1 cup
Thinly sliced carrots 1 cup
Uncooked white rice 1/2 cup
Instruction For Cooking:
1. Add chicken and water to large pan. Bring to a boil, occasionally skimming surface.
2. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
3. Add onion, thyme, salt, and pepper.
4. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
5. Remove chicken from pan and cool.
6. Remove chicken from bones and shred. Skim
fat from chicken broth, bring to a boil.
7. Stir in celery, carrots, and rice.
8. Reduce heat to low.
9. Cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes.
10. Serve hot.
Variation In Chicken Rice Soup:
Chicken Rice soup can me more variable by adding finely thin julain sliced capsicum and also you can add vinegar to make it sour. You can also add finely chopped green chillies to make this soup little more spicy. Choice is all yours.
