Daal is aready source of proteins for a balanced diet containing little or no meat. In this Dhaba Daal recipe the main ingredient is gram lentil and used spinach to give it more taste with with mild spices to make it more delicious. For bhagar it takes garlic paste, red crushed chilli with ghee. This Dhaba Daal is a typical daal recipe that is served at such dhabas, though each dhaba has its own recipe but this one tastes much like the one served at most places.

Recipe Of Dhaba Daal:

Preparation time 30-40 minutes
Serve 4-5 people.

Ingredients:

Gram lentil 250 gram
(soak for 3 hours then drain & wash well)
Salt 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Spinach 1 cup finely chopped
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Green chillies 2 chopped
Crushed chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Ghee 1/2 cup

Instructions For Cooking:

1. Soak gram lentil for 3 hours, drain and wash thrice in fresh water, put in a pan with salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and 1 cup spinach, cover and cook for 45 minutes.

2. In another pan heat 1/2 cup ghee fry garlic paste, crushed red pepper and put on top of the daal, stirr fry till oil comes on top.

3. Serve garnished with green chillies.

Variation In Dhaba Daal:

Dhaba Daal has some variations according to your own choice. You can use any lentil of your choice. You can also add tomatoes to make it more delicious and can also add curry leaves in bhagar to give it a greater taste.

Uses Of Dhaba Daal:

You can serve this Dhaba Daal with naan or chapatti or even with simple boil rice. Now Dhaba Daal are found all around the nation at dhabas.
