Cooking Vegetables at low flame to this degree may not be stylish in todays culinary world,  but for side dishes such as this Green Bean And Potato it is the only way to go,  this does not mean the veggies are over cooked far from it.  They are stewed just until the dish is warm, enticing and delicious.

Recipe Of Green Bean And Potato:

Preparation time 30-40 minutes

Serves 4-5 people

Ingredients:

Green beans ½ kg cut into 1 inch pieces
Potato 3-4 medium
Tomato 1 chopped
Chili powder 1 tsp heaped
Turmeric ¼ tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp heaped
Salt 1 tsp
Tamarind pulp ¼ cup
Sugar 1 tbsp
Oil ¼ cup
Crushed garlic 1 tbsp
White cumin whole 1 tsp
Rai dana 1 tsp
Onion 1 large chopped

Instruction For Cooking:

1. Heat oil ¼ cup add crushed garlic,  white cumin,  rai dana with 1 chopped onion,  fry till onion soft.

2. Add chopped tomatoes with salt,  chili powder,  turmeric and coriander powder,  fry well add Green Beans and Potatoes cut in to cubes.

3. Fry for 2 minutes add 1 cup water,  cover and cook till beans and potaoes done,  lastly add tamarind juice,  cook for 5 minutes.

Variation In Green Bean And Potato:

Green Bean And Potato already a versatile dish but you can make it more variable by adding fresh coriander leaves sprinkle when served.

Uses Of Green Bean And Potato:

Green Bean Potato Can be served with rotis, naans or with plain rice.  Green Bean And Potato are often served at lunch time at homes.
