In this Salad recipe we are using Paneer (cottage cheese) as a main ingredient.    Paneer Salad usually served chilled or at a moderate temperature and often served with a sauce or dressing. Paneer Salad can be served at any point during a meal such as,

Origin Of  Paneer Salad:

The word Salad comes from the French “Salade” of the same meaning, from the Latin “Salata” (salty) from sal (salt). In english, the word first appears as “Salad” or “Sallet” in the 14th cntury. In the restaurants will often have a “Salad Bar” laid out with Salad making ingredients, which the customers will use to put together their Salad.

Recipe Of Paneer Salad:

Preparation time 15-20 minutes
Serving 3-4 people

Ingredients:

Paneer – 1 cup
Carrot (cut in to small cubes) – 1/2 cup
Green peas – 1/2 cup
Corn kernels – 1/2 cup
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Black pepper – to taste
Salt – to taste
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped – for garnish as required
Spring onion leaves chopped – as required or 1/4 cup.

Instructions For Preparing:

1.In a pan, heat oil as required.

2.Add mustard seeds, let them splutter.

3.Add green peas and fry for 1 minute.

4.Add Corn and fry for another minute.

5.Now add carrot and paneeer and fry for 2 minute.

6.Now add spring onion leaves and fry for 1 minute.

7.Switch off the stove and add salt and pepper.

8.(lemon juice is optional) garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Salad ready.

Variation In Paneer Salad:
