Spicy Chicken is a dish which sure fire way to please everyone at the table. This Spicy Chicken have an exotic spices with delectable marination ingredients that tantalizing your taste in new way. To make this Spicy Chicken all you need is for marination chicken leg pieces, hung curd, garlic paste. red chili powder, garam masala powder and salt. And for masala gravy you need fried onion paste, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, ghee, oil, poppy seed paste, raisin paste, black pepper crushed, bay leafs, garam masala powder and salt. To finish use green chillies finely chopped and fresh coriander leaves finely chopped for garnishing.

Spicy Chicken Incomplete Without Marination:

Spicy Chicken can be incomplete without doing marination of chicken before putting in a masala gravy. This marination make this Spicy Chicken more delectable and delicious in taste and texture.

Recipe Of Spicy Chicken:

Preparation time 40-45 minutes
Serves 4-5 people

Ingredients:

For the Marination:

Chicken legs 1 kg
Hung curd 1/2 cup
Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Lemon juice of 1 lemon
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp

For Masala:

Paste of fried onions 2 tbsp (heaped)
Ginger paste 1 tbsp
Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Poppy seed paste 1 tbsp
Raisins paste 1 tbsp (heaped)
Crushed black pepper 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Bay leaves 2
Salt to taste
Green chillies 4-5 (for garnishing)

Instruction For Making:

1. Make slits on the chicken legs.

2. Mix the ingredients of the marinade mentioned above in a bowl and rub the chicken legs generously all over with it. Refrigerate overnight.

3. Now, heat ghee and oil in a pan. Take the chicken out of the marinade and add.

4. Quickly stir fry till nicely browned on all sides. Set aside.

5. Now in the remaining ghee, add the bay leaves. Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chili powder and the remaining marinade. Fry till oil starts to leave the sides.

6. Add the brown onion paste, black pepper powder, poppy seed paste and the garam masala powder. Fry for about 2-3 minutes.

7. Add the raisin paste. Add 2 cups of warm water. Bring to a boil. Add salt to taste.

8. Now add the fried chicken legs to the simmering gravy. Lower the flame and cook covered till done.

9. Add the whole green chillies and mix well.

10. Make sure the water is all soaked up and the masala coats the chicken well.

11. Serve hot with rice or bread of your choice.

Variation In Spicy Chicken:

Spicy Chicken can be made more variable by adding these few ingredients of your choice according to your taste buds. You can also add red chili flakes instead of red chili powder to make it little more spicy. You can also give coal smoke when served.

Spicy Chicken Served:

Spicy Chicken can be served at restaurants and also at homes dawats menu as a main  course. Spicy Chicken can be served with any  type of flat bread or with qulcha, naan, garlic naan, plain chapati or roti.
