Vegetable White Rice is a dish of steamed rice stir fried in a wok, often mixed with other ingredients such as egg, meat or vegetable. it is sometimes served as the penultimate dish in chinese banquets just before dessert.
Muslim Invention of Vegetable White Rice:
In most Pakistani restaurants catering to vegetarian or Muslim clientele have invented their own varieties of Vegetable White Rice including egg Vegetable White Rice and the Indonesian spicy Vegetable White Rice.
Recipe Of Vegetable White Rice:
Preparation time 20-30 minutes
Serves 5-6 people
1 cup capsicum
1 cup carrot
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup corns
1 cup spring onion
1 tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
50 grams butter
2 tbsp oil
½ kg rice
Instruction For Cooking:
1. Heat 2 tbsp oil and then add 50 gm butter.
2. Now add 1 cup chopped carrot, 1 cup cauliflower, 1 cup chopped capsicum, and 1 cup corns and fry.
3. Add 1 tsp black pepper powder, ½ tsp salt.
4. After adding ½ kg boiled rice and 1 cup chopped spring onion, mix it well.
5. Leave it for 10 minutes on low flame.
Variation In Vegetable White Rice:
As a home made dish Vegetable White Rice is typicallty made with leftover ingredients including vegetables, boil rice and meat, from other dishes leading to countless variations.
